ON-PAGE OPTIMISATION
Why is someone else’s page beating yours on Google?
Digimetrics On-Page Optimisation is an on-page SEO checker that compares one page, element by element, with the top three Google results for your keyword: title, main heading, meta description, headings and content depth. For each element it shows what your page says now and a suggested rewrite ready to paste. Each page takes 45 seconds to 3 minutes.
- 45 seconds to 3 minutes
- Free for 7 days

WHAT YOU GET BACK
Current versus suggested, for every element.
- Top 3BenchmarkedYour page against the three results ranking above it.
- TitleRewrittenSample: “Features • Brightpath” becomes a title built around the keyword.
- MetaWrittenSample: a missing description, written for you.
- 420 → 900Content depthSample: grow to about 900 words, with a comparison table and an FAQ.
No vague “improve your content”.
Each row names the element (title, heading, description, content), what your page says today, and the suggested text. Paste it in, or have the full rewrite drafted for you in one click.

How to check the on-page SEO of a website, one page at a time
Pick the page that should rank, name the keyword, and compare it with the pages that already rank. On-page SEO is judged per page and per keyword, so a single site-wide score hides what matters.
Many page SEO analyzer tools grade a page against a fixed checklist: is the keyword in the title, is there an H1, are images tagged. That catches basic mistakes, but it cannot tell you why a specific competitor is winning. The pages in the top three set the real bar for your keyword, and that bar is different for every search.
On-Page Optimisation benchmarks against those live results. In the official tutorial's sample (fictional brand Brightpath), the features page had 420 words against much deeper competitors; the suggested fix was about 900 words with a comparison table and an FAQ. A checklist would have passed that page. If you want to work through the basics first, our on-page SEO checklist covers every element.
| Approach | What it tells you | What it misses |
|---|---|---|
| Checklist score | Whether basic tags exist | Why the pages above you are winning |
| Reading competitors by hand | Real differences, eventually | Time, and a consistent comparison |
| On-Page Optimisation | Current vs suggested text per element, against the top three | Off-page factors such as backlinks |
What does an on-page SEO score leave out?
Links from other sites, site-wide technical health and whether AI assistants quote you. Those are off-page and technical factors, and each needs its own check.
If your page now matches the top three and still sits below them, the gap is usually authority. Run the Backlink Checker on the competitor's domain to see which sites back them, and Page Technical & Domain Analysis for an authority score side by side. Technical problems such as missing tags or broken links across many pages show up in the Technical SEO Crawler.
This is the honest difference between on page SEO tools and off page SEO tools: the first fix what is on your page, the second measure the reputation around it. You usually need both, in that order, because on-page fixes are the ones you control today.
Can I use it as a product page SEO checker?
Yes. Enter the product or category page and the buying keyword it should rank for. The comparison works the same way, against the three pages ranking above you.
Product and category pages often lose because they are thin: a title, a price and a short description, while the pages above them answer sizing, delivery and comparison questions. The content-depth row makes that gap visible, and the suggested rewrites give you a title and description built around the buying keyword. Add Product schema so search engines can read price and availability, and see how ecommerce stores use the two together.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK
Frequently asked questions
Still unsure? Email support@digimetrics.ai and a person will reply.
What does the on-page SEO checker compare?
Your page’s title, main heading, meta description, headings, images and content depth against the three pages ranking top three for your keyword. Each row shows what your page says now and the suggested text.
How long does it take?
About 45 seconds to three minutes per page. Two optional extra checks are off by default, so you choose whether to add them. You see what a run includes before you press Run.
Is there a free on-page SEO checker?
Your first comparisons are free: every tool is unlocked for 7 days, with no credit card, so you can check several pages before paying.
Why is my competitor ranking higher than me?
Usually because their page covers the topic more fully, matches the search intent better, or has stronger links. On-Page Optimisation shows the on-page gap element by element; a backlink check shows the authority gap.
How do I check my on-page SEO score?
Instead of one generic score, you get a benchmark against the top three results for your keyword, which is what decides ranking. Run it on your most important page first.
Does it change my website?
No. It gives you the suggested text. You or your developer paste it in, so you stay in control of what goes live.
Can it help with AI answers too?
Yes. From the result you can open AI Page Rewrite to restructure the same page so ChatGPT and other AI assistants can quote it, with a one-sentence answer, a comparison table and an FAQ block.
How do I know the fix worked?
Track the keyword with Rank Checker from the result page, and re-run the comparison once your changes are live and Google has recrawled the page.
