The short answer

  • GA4 shows what visitors do on your site; the hard part is finding the one table that answers your question.
  • Digimetrics connects read-only in about 30 seconds and reads sessions, users, engagement and conversions.
  • Break the numbers down by channel, page, country or device without building a custom exploration.
  • Reading your own GA4 data costs nothing extra, including during the 7-day free trial.

HOW IT WORKS

How to get a GA4 report in three steps

  1. 1

    Connect Google once, read-only

Sign in with a Google account that can see your Analytics property. Digimetrics only reads; it never changes your settings.

  2. 2

Pick the property and date range

Choose the GA4 property and the period you care about, such as last month against the month before.

  3. 3

Break it down and read the winners

Switch between channel, page, country and device to see where conversions come from, then act on the biggest gap.

Takes about 30 seconds to connect. Included on every plan.

What a GA4 report should tell you (and usually doesn't)

A useful GA4 report answers three questions: how many people came, whether they engaged, and which sources turned into sign-ups or sales. Digimetrics puts those three answers on one screen.

GA4 itself can answer almost anything, but its standard reports spread the answers across acquisition, engagement and monetisation menus, and the GA4 reports builder expects you to design your own views. Many people end up downloading a Google Analytics report template just to see the basics.

The Digimetrics connection skips that. You get sessions and users for volume, engagement for quality, and conversions for outcome, with one switch to break any of them down by channel, page, country or device. That is the GA4 dashboard most owners and marketers actually need.

What the data tells you: the official sample

In the official tutorial's sample (fictional brand Brightpath), direct traffic brought 9,210 conversions, the most of any channel.

A result like that is worth reading carefully. Direct often includes people who already know the brand and type the address, plus visits Analytics could not attribute to another source. So a big direct number is a sign of brand strength, but also a prompt to check that your campaign links are tagged.

The next step depends on the channel. If organic search converts well, find more searches like the ones that work with keyword research. If one landing page gets traffic but few conversions, run the landing page audit for a conversion score out of 100 and fixes in order.

How do I combine GA4 with SEO data in one dashboard?

Connect GA4 and Search Console with the same Google sign-in, then run SEO tools in the same project. You see searches, visits, conversions and the fixes side by side.

Google itself recommends using the two together: Search Console is the source of truth for how you perform in Google Search, and Analytics is the source of truth for what happens on your site. The numbers will not match exactly, because clicks and sessions are counted differently, but the trends should.

In practice: the Search Console report shows which searches found you, GA4 shows whether those visitors converted, and SEO Diagnostics can take your Analytics or Search Console numbers as inputs when it builds its plan.

  • Organic sessions down? Check Search Console clicks for the same dates before blaming the site.
  • Engagement low on one page? Compare the page with what searchers asked for, then rewrite it.
  • Paid traffic converting poorly? Open the Google Ads integration to see cost per conversion by campaign, also free to connect.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Email support@digimetrics.ai and a person will reply.

Is connecting Google Analytics to Digimetrics free?

Yes. Connecting is free and read-only on every plan, including the 7-day free trial with no card.

Can Digimetrics change my Analytics settings?

No. The connection is read-only. It reads your reports and never edits properties, events or conversions.

Do I still need GA4 itself?

Yes. GA4 collects the data; Digimetrics reads it and puts it next to your SEO, ads and AI visibility findings. Use GA4 directly for setup work such as events and consent.

What is the best tool to analyse GA4 data with AI?

Pick one that reads your property directly and links the numbers to actions. In Digimetrics, Monty, the built-in assistant, can explain what a GA4 result means in plain English, and the other tools tell you what to fix.

Can I build GA4 reports for clients?

Yes. Keep each client in a separate project and connect their property. Expert adds white-label PDF export; our SEO reporting guide covers what to include.
